Summer Flower Show

OUR SUMMER SHOW IS BACK!

Blockley & District Horticultural Society Flower Shows are a local tradition

stretching back over 70 years. Only global disasters, such as World War II

and COVID-19, have caused us to cancel the Blockley Summer Flower

Show!

So, we are really excited to be hosting our 2022 Summer Flower Show at

St George’s Hall, Blockley on Saturday August 20th .

You don’t have to be a member of our Society to enter!

All classes are OPEN meaning we invite local people to exhibit the flowers

& vegetables that they grow in their own gardens or allotments and to

demonstrate their cookery, floristry and photography skills.

We particularly want to encourage children to enter. There’s a prize of £5

for the winner in each section! It’s an opportunity for young people to

showcase their talents in drawing, creativity and cookery to the wider

village community.

Once you’ve decided on the Classes you would like to enter, click for

the Entry Form and Young People’s Entry Form. Entry forms must be

returned to Blockley Shop by 12 Noon on Friday August 19th

And if you really feel there is nothing that you can enter in any of the

Classes, please do come along to support this traditional village event.

Enjoy the displays: colourful summer flowers, magnificent vegetables,

delicious cakes, impressive floral artistry, high-quality photography and

the skill of our local young people.

Refreshing Tea & Cakes will be provided by Blockley Sports & Social Club

with musical entertainment by Blockley Brass Band.

So come along to this truly local occasion.
